Our Mission

Many of the most common document tasks are frustratingly simple in concept but time-consuming without the right tools. Compressing a PDF before emailing it. Extracting images from a scanned report. Correcting page order after a mis-feed. Converting a stack of phone photos into one shareable PDF. Adding a signature to a contract without printing it. These tasks shouldn't require expensive software subscriptions, steep learning curves or uploading private files to unknown cloud services.

ConvertFree.net was built to remove that friction. Every tool on the site is designed for one specific job, done well, directly in your browser. No account required. No watermarks on output files. No hidden charges. Just clean, fast utilities that work.

How the Tools Are Built

All tools on ConvertFree.net run on our own hosting infrastructure using PHP and the Imagick extension — an industry-standard image processing library built on ImageMagick. Office document conversion (PDF to Word, Word to PDF, PowerPoint to PDF and similar) uses LibreOffice running in headless mode on the server. PDF repair uses Ghostscript, the industry-standard PostScript and PDF interpreter.

We do not route your files through external conversion APIs, third-party cloud services or paid software-as-a-service providers. When you upload a file to any ConvertFree.net tool, it travels directly to our server, is processed by the relevant engine, and the result is made available for your download. Each tool writes temporary files to its own /storage folder, and automated cleanup jobs permanently delete all uploaded and output files within 5 minutes of processing.

This architecture keeps the tools consistent in behavior, predictable in output and respectful of your privacy. Every converter follows the same upload → process → download flow. Single results download as direct files; multiple results download as ZIP archives.

Privacy, Advertising & Data

ConvertFree.net is funded by advertising through Google AdSense. Ad slots appear in clearly defined positions — typically at the top of the page, inline between sections, and at the bottom — so the tools remain clean and usable without intrusive ad experiences.

We collect only the minimal technical data required to operate the service: server logs for security monitoring and error diagnosis, and anonymised analytics to understand which tools are most used. We do not sell, share or monetise your uploaded file content. All uploaded files and processed outputs are permanently deleted from our servers within 5 minutes.

Our Privacy Policy explains exactly how temporary files, server logs and cookies are handled. Our Terms of Service covers acceptable use of the tools.

As with any online service, we recommend not uploading documents containing highly sensitive regulated data — medical records, financial account information, legal privileged communications — to any web-based converter, including this one. For everyday documents: reports, presentations, photos, invoices, receipts and general business correspondence, the tools are designed to be a fast, safe and convenient option.

Blog & Guides

The ConvertFree.net Blog publishes practical guides on document workflows, image optimisation and file management. Articles are written specifically to help with real tasks rather than to promote features — topics like how to compress a PDF without losing quality, how to sign a PDF for free, and how to reduce image file sizes for web use.

Contact & Feedback

If you notice a bug, have a suggestion for a new tool, or need to clarify anything about how the site works, send a message through the Contact page. We review all submissions and use them to prioritise what to build and fix next. For quick suggestions about a specific tool, the Feedback form is the fastest route.
