The more detail you provide, the faster we can diagnose and fix the issue. Bug reports with specific error messages and file details are usually resolved within one to two business days.
Common Issues & Self-Help
Before contacting us, check the Help Center â it covers the most frequently asked questions about file size limits, supported formats, browser compatibility and troubleshooting steps for failed conversions.
Most conversion failures are caused by one of these common issues:
- File size too large: Most tools accept up to 80 MB per upload. Use Compress PDF or Image Compressor to reduce file size, or Split PDF to divide large PDFs before retrying.
- Wrong file format: Double-check that the file extension matches the actual format. A Word document renamed from .docx to .pdf is not a valid PDF and will fail validation.
- Password-protected PDFs: Most tools cannot process password-protected PDFs. Use Unlock PDF to remove the password first, then re-upload to the tool you need.
- Browser extension conflict: Ad blockers and privacy extensions occasionally interfere with file uploads or download triggers. Try disabling extensions or using a private browsing window.
- Large multi-page PDFs timing out: Very large PDFs (50+ pages with high-resolution images) can take longer to process. If the request times out, try splitting the PDF into smaller parts first.

The more specifically you can describe the task, the better â "I need to extract only the text from a PDF as a plain .txt file" is far more actionable than "I need more PDF tools". Frequently Reported Issues
These are the issues we receive most often â along with the fastest self-service fix for each:
- "Upload failed" or "File too large": The limit is 80 MB. Use Compress PDF or Image Compressor to reduce file size first, or use Split PDF to break a large document into smaller parts.
- "Cannot process this PDF": The file may be password-protected. Use Unlock PDF first, then retry. Or the file may be corrupted â try Repair PDF first.
- Download didn't start automatically: Look for the green results panel that appears after a successful conversion and click the Download button manually. If no results panel appeared, scroll up and check for red error messages.
- Output quality looks lower than expected: For PDF-to-image conversions, select the High quality preset on the tool page. For image compression, use the Light compression option to preserve more detail.
- Converted Word/Excel/PowerPoint looks different from the original: This is normal for complex Office documents â layout differences are expected when using LibreOffice for conversion. For critical documents, use Microsoft's own Save As PDF feature if available.
What We Cannot Help With
A few things are outside what we can assist with via the contact form:
- Recovering content from files you no longer have â once a file is deleted from our servers (within 5 minutes), it is gone permanently and cannot be recovered.
- Unlocking PDFs without the correct password â we cannot bypass encryption; you must have the authorised password.
